Aqua Vista Hotels Participates in ‘Women Talk About Tourism’ Event
Aqua Vista Hotels, a leading hotel management group in Greece, recently participated in a panel discussion titled, “Women Talk about Tourism”, which was held within the framework of the “Money Show Athens 2019” event, in the Greek capital.
Aqua Vista Hotels Business Development Manager Sofia Matzourani was one of the four female tourism experts that joined the discussion. She shared her extensive knowhow on “the creation of a hotel’s brand identity and the hospitality experience”.
“[The event] was a unique opportunity for highly qualified female professionals to take center-stage and share their knowledge and insights with the public,” she said.
Matzourani was joined by Magda Peistikou, program leader at Metropolitan College, who stressed the importance of education in meeting the sector’s challenges; Interior Designer Maria Sfiraki who spoke of the ways culturally-inspired design can benefit both hoteliers and producers; and Blue Cove Greece Sales Operations Manager Vasiliki Kondylarou, who presented three essential factors in hospitality that can lead to happiness.
“I am delighted to have participated in the event alongside such dynamic women. Seeing the positive response of the attendees, I am certain that there will be many more such initiatives in the future,” Matzourani added.
The event was held as part of the “Athens Money Show 2019”, founded by Elias Faraggitakis, and organized by Iliada Kothra, founder of Living Postcards, an online platform aiming to promote the work of Greek startups active in hospitality, culture, art and gastronomy.
Aqua Vista Hotels was founded in 2005 and today manages a portfolio of more than 30 hotels on the Greek islands of Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Lesvos and Skiathos.
