Athens Forum to Explore Gastronomy Tourism Opportunities for Hoteliers
Greek travel and food experts will attend a forum in Athens on January 18 and discuss the development of gastronomy tourism and its potential for hotels in Greece.
Organized by marketing company Respond on Demand and Top Tourism, within the framework of the Money Show Athens, the gastronomy forum will be held on January 18 at the Divani Caravel Hotel in the Greek capital.
A total of 16 speakers will offer insight on the sector’s growth opportunities and the multiple ways Greek travel and hospitality enterprises can benefit.
“Most hoteliers in Greece want to tap into the vast potential of gastronomy tourism but they need to create content,” DNA Travel CEO Iakovos Sachas told GTP Headlines.
Sachas will speak at the forum on the problems and opportunities of gastronomy tourism in Greece. “Content is key but its creation is a challenge for Greek hoteliers due to the lack of know-how,” he said.
The forum aims to provide participants with solutions, as well as information on how to address current challenges.
“We need to create a culture among hoteliers… In order to successfully enter this market, hoteliers need to embrace this culture and learn more on creating content through seminars and targeted campaigns,” Sachas added.
Registration for the gastronomy forum is free and can be done online here.
The Greek Travel Pages (GTP) is the communication sponsor of the event.
