Maroulis Travel Honored for Business Excellence in Greek Tourism
Greek tourism transport services provider Maroulis Travel SA has been honored with a Treasures of Greek Tourism Award 2018, during a ceremony recently held in Athens.
The awards are organized by New Times Publishing and aim to recognize excellence in tourism enterprises based on profitability, investment, innovation and social responsibility.
“We feel proud for this award, as it recognizes our efforts to constantly be at the epicenter of tourism activity as an exemplar in the transport sector in Greece,” said Maroulis Travel Vice President Panos Maroulis during the awards ceremony.
“Furthermore, the Treasures of Greek Tourism Award provides us with the strength to continue as pioneers and support Greek tourism, as we have been doing for more than 40 years,” he added.
Established in 1977 by Vassilis and Spiros Maroulis, Maroulis Travel has throughout four decades played a significant role in the country’s tourism development, while also supporting Greek tourism. Serving more than 950,000 travelers on an annual basis, the company’s aim is to create and offer unique travel experiences with an emphasis – primarily – on the safety of its passengers and the quality of services.
Maroulis has been certified by TÜV HELLAS (TUV NORD) for its road safety management system (RSMS) and received the “Strongest Companies in Greece” certificate by consulting and research services group ICAP.
The 2nd Treasures of Greek Tourism Awards was held under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism, the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Travel & Tourist Agencies (FedHATTA).
