Athens-based tour operator Rhapsody Travel has been included in the Best Performing Companies for 2018 at the 2nd Treasures of Greek Tourism Awards, which was recently held at the Radisson Blu Park Hotel in the Greek capital.

Organized by New Times Publishing, the awards recognize hotels, travel agencies, regions, tourism destinations, conference centers and business initiatives, based on their financial performance and contribution to Greek tourism. Some 1,500 nominations were submitted this year.

The award was received by George Paliouras, Travel Manager of Business Development at Rhapsody Travel, by the President of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), Charalambos Karimalis.

“This award came just before celebrating 20 years of presence in Greece’s and Eastern Mediterranean’s tourism industry. We are ready to set new standards of high performance and creativity in our especially designed tours for cruise passengers,” Paliouras said.

Rhapsody Travel is an international tour operator specializing in quality excursions and shore-side activities for cruise ship passengers. With headquarters in Athens and offices in all major Greek islands, Cyprus and Egypt, Rhapsody operates in eleven countries with expert multinational and multilingual staff.

“In 2018, we operated tours for more than 1,100 cruise ship calls. We keep our customers’ satisfaction at the highest level, and this gives us confidence for the future. We are committed to further enriching our gusts’ experience, while embracing more sustainable practices,” he added.
