Santorini’s Carpe Diem Boutique Resort Crowned as Best in Europe and World
The Carpe Diem Exclusive Boutique Resort, located on Santorini, has been named “Best Relaxation Retreat” in Europe and the World at the World Boutique Hotel Awards 2018.
The announcement was made during a ceremony recently held at the Merchant Taylor’s Hall in London, in the presence of over 260 professionals from the luxury boutique hotel sector.
The World Boutique Hotel Awards is exclusively dedicated to recognizing excellence among luxury boutique hotels. Nominations are made by travel industry experts, luxury travel journalists and approved self-nominations.
The winners were selected from over 300 nominees in more than 80 countries.
“We are honored to be recognized, once again, among the best resorts in the country and the world with these two awards,” said Carpe Diem Managing Director Sotiris Kopatsaris.
“First, we represent Greece in this prestigious event, and second, these awards prove Carpe Diem’s excellence as an ultra-private spa resort. This is the impressive result of our team’s hard work… and – of course – we also have the support of our guests,” he added.
Designed for romance and relaxation, Carpe Diem features the largest suites on the Greek island of Santorini, with stunning 270° views and private plunge pools. In addition, the hotel offers panoramic views from every corner and luxury amenities including a butler service, a champagne bar and Bang and Olufsen sound systems.
The 1:1 staff-to-guest ratio guarantees high levels of privacy in all aspects of the guests’ stay.
The two Boutique Hotel Awards are the latest in a lineup of accolades that Carpe Diem has received during the last few years. In 2017, the resort won two honors at the Boutique Hotel Awards, as Europe’s Best Honeymoon Hideaway and World’s Best Honeymoon Hideaway.
