‘Out of the Blue’ Wins Best Spa Resort in Europe Award at 2018 Prix Villégiature

The Out of the Blue Capsis Elite Resort, located in Heraklion on the island of Crete, has been announced the “Best Spa Resort in Europe” at the prestigious 2018 Prix Villégiature Awards. The resort was honored for its for its high-end facilities and services.

Established in 2003, Prix Villégiature recognizes the best hotels and resorts in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle-East. The judging committee consists of 23 international press correspondents and journalists from major media around the world.

“It is an honor to be awarded as the Best Spa Resort in Europe… This accolade recognizes our efforts to provide outstanding and innovative luxury facilities and services to our guests,” the resort’s management said in an announcement.

“The competition was tough and the rigorous standards of Prix Villégiature were immediately evident, with detailed questionnaires about our facilities and services, as well as thorough research from the members of the jury during their visit at the resort.”

The award ceremony was recently held at the Château de Ferrières in Ferrières-en-Brie near Paris and provided participants with the opportunity to network with senior executives of the international hospitality industry, as well as fashion professionals and state officials.

The Out of the Blue, Capsis Elite Resort is a five-star deluxe hotel complex located on a private peninsula and surrounded by a luscious botanical garden of 167.000 square meters. It includes three hotels with various types of accommodation, from family bungalows to private pool-villas.

The resort’s spa facilities and services such as the Everlasting Euphoria Rejuvenating Program, provide holistic luxury relaxing and anti-ageing treatments based on traditional techniques, with the use of herbs and oils originating from Crete.

The resort has received a number of awards in 2018 for its high-end facilities and services.
