Aiming to promote Greece’s potential as a destination ideal for MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) tourism, the Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO) this November will participate in two leading international exhibitions, in Thessaloniki in northern Greece and Barcelona in Spain.

During November 9-11, HAPCO will be present with its own pavilion at the 34th International Tourism Exhibition “Philoxenia”, to be held at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center.

“Every year, Philoxenia hosts exhibitors and visitors from Greek and international markets and provides a platform for tourism professionals to meet,” HAPCO said in an announcement.

Furthermore, the association will participate in the international tourism exhibition IBTM World 2018, which will be held between November 27 and 29 in Barcelona. HAPCO will share a pavilion with the Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB).

According to HAPCO, last year IBTM World attracted more than 15,500 industry professionals and 2,716 exhibitors, including destinations, conference centers, technology companies and suppliers. Furthermore, the exhibition hosted more than 70,000 meetings.
