Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel Holds ‘Wine Days’ for Guests

The Sofitel Athens Airport is once again participating in the Sofitel Wine Days 2018, an annual initiative held by the prestigious Sofitel brand throughout the world, aiming to offer unique wine experiences to its guests and celebrate the French “art de vivre”.

A brand of the AccorHotels group, Sofitel during the last 50 years has evolved its know-how in this field, thanks to its collaboration with maître sommeliers.

Aiming to honor the tradition of harvest and winemaking, the global celebration, which launched in September, will run until October 31 and includes events addressed to those who love quality wines.

“France is famous for its wines which are unique due to the wealth of vineyards and variety of grapes. However, Greece also has exceptional quality wines to offer,” said Sofitel Athens Airport General Manager George Stavrou.

“Sofitel Athens Airport is organizing a journey to the world of wines thanks to the special Greek wines selected by the hotel’s sommeliers,” he added.

During the Sofitel Wine Days 2018, the guests of the hotel’s Artemis bar and Mesoghaia restaurant will have the chance to choose from a lineup of unique cocktails based on wine, created exclusively for the occasion, as well as participate in special tasting events.

The hotel will also host a wine tasting and cheese pairing event for university students majoring in tourism.
