Hellenic Federation of Hoteliers (POX) President Grigoris Tasios recently brought specific issues of the Greek hotel sector to the attention of Labor Minister Efi Achtsioglou.
During a recent meeting, the federation’s president requested legislative initiatives in order for hospitality enterprises to be able smoothly adapt to the collective labor agreement for workers of hotel industry, which is to be renewed.
“POX strongly supports employment and social cohesion in our country,” Tasios said in an announcement, underlining the fact that during the economic crisis and despite pressures of the memorandums, POX signed one of the country’s largest collective labor agreements for workers in Greece’s hotel industry.
“The collective labor agreement resolved serious institutional issues and included the possibility of its renewal, which is now coming in force,” Tasios said.
During his meeting with Minister Achtsioglou, the federation’s president also focused on issues concerning newcomers in the hospitality sector’s labor market.
