Acropolis Museum in TripAdvisor’s Worldwide Top 10

The Acropolis Museum in Athens, is once again among the top museums in the world, ranking sixth on the Top 10 list of TripAdvisor’s 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards for Museums.

Paris’ Musée d’Orsay topped the Top 25 World list, followed by The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum in New York in second place and the city’s Metropolitan Museum of Art in third.

The British Museum in London, and the Prado National Museum in Madrid, came fourth and fifth respectively.

Acropolis Museum among best in Europe

The Acropolis Museum also ranked fourth in Europe among 25 museums, with Musée d’Orsay ranking first; the British Museum second and the Prado National Museum third on the TripAdvisor list.

Furthermore, it topped the list of the Top 10 Museums in Greece.

Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for museums worldwide, gathered by travel planning and booking site TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.

The Acropolis Museum had been announced eighth best in the world at the 2017 Travelers’ Choice awards for Museums and third among Europe’s best.
