Athens Airport Welcomes Over 10 Million Passengers in Jan-June 2018

The Athens International Airport (AIA) welcomed more than 10 million passengers between January and June 2018, recording a strong rise in arrivals by 11.1 percent compared to the same period in 2017.

According the data released by AIA, the growth came from a significant rise in the number of international travelers by 15.7 percent. Furthermore, domestic arrivals increased by 2.3 percent.

During June, the airport’s passengers increased by 11.6 percent, reaching 2,43 million. Both domestic and international arrivals recorded a significant rise by 6.2 percent and 14.4 percent respectively.
