Developing the attractiveness of the seaside town of Katakolo through cruise tourism was among the main topics touched by Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura during a meeting with Katakolo Port Authority (Pyrgos Municipal Port Fund) President Leonidas Varouksis.

Both agreed to seek solutions aimed at further improving the port’s operation and the service of passengers and the development of its cruise potential.

Also discussed were ways to enrich the area’s tourism offerings with new thematic tourism products and experiences combined with a visit to Ancient Olympia and the local shops.
