‘MSC Seaview’ Sets off on Maiden Voyage in Luxury and Style
Italian movie star Sophia Loren was in Genoa, this week to inaugurate the latest addition to MSC Cruises fleet, the new flagship MSC Seaview, which was christened on June 9, amid a crowd of VIPs, key travel partners and international media.
The MSC Seaview is the 15th addition to MSC Cruises’ fleet and the third vessel to come into service in just 12 months under the company’s 10.5-billion-euro investment plan.
Loren joined Captain Pier Paolo Scala for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new smart ship with a 5,331-passenger capacity, boasting some 2,000 cabins and catered by 1,413 crew members.
The MSC Seaview, which set off on her maiden voyage from Genoa on June 10, to six ports in the Western Mediterranean – Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona, Naples, Messina, and Valetta – has been designed to enhance the enjoyment of the open water, and specifically intended to cruise in warmer climates.

Passenger sales agent for MSC Cruises in Greece, Cruiseway Travel has announced five package deals on the MSC Seaview which include Aegean Airlines flights, airport/cruise ship transfers and experienced Greek escorts throughout the trip for July 29, August 5, 12, 19 and 26.
