WTA 2018: HotelBrain Rolls Out Red Carpet for ‘Tourism Oscars’ Ceremony in Athens

Greek hotel management company HotelBrain is organizing the World Travel Awards (WTA) Europe Gala Ceremony 2018 and will roll out the red carpet at the Zappeion Megaron Hall in Athens on June 30 to welcome tourism industry leaders from across the continent.

HotelBrain LogotupoHotelBrain has a history with the World Travel Awards – frequently referred to as the “Tourism Oscars” – as it has been honored by the WTA organization for three consecutive years as Europe’s Leading Hotel Management Company, a top and rewarding recognition for the company’s efforts.

“This year, besides our distinctions, we are bringing the World Travel Awards, the so-called “Tourism Oscars”, to Greece,” HotelBrain President and Founder Panos Paleologos said.

“We decided to bring the World Travel Awards to Athens because such an important event for tourism has a reason to be in our country, which is a strong destination that has much to offer and at the same time receive from the international audience,” Paleologos told GTP Headlines.

Senior representatives from Europe’s finest travel brands are scheduled to attend WTA’s Europe Gala Ceremony 2018 as they vie to win the most coveted accolade in the industry.

“This event will bring the most important personalities of international tourism to Athens and also offer the country very significant advertising and promotion,” he added.

WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. The brand aims to celebrate airlines, hotels, airports, casinos, travel agencies and destinations that are pushing the boundaries of industry excellence. Votes are cast by travel professionals and high-end tourism consumers.

“2018 is an extra special year as we are celebrating our 25th anniversary, and I can think of no better destination to host our Europe Gala Ceremony 2018 than Athens – the incredible historical capital of Europe,” WTA President & Founder Graham Cooke told GTP Headlines.

“With its unique blend of a rich, cultural history coupled with a contemporary, progressive outlook, Athens is one of the world’s essential destinations and we are honored to have the city as our host,” Cooke added and applauded the event’s partnership with HotelBrain.

“We are equally as honored to partner with the dynamic HotelBrain – the region’s premier hotel management company. HotelBrain is one of tourism’s great recent success stories and it has been fundamental in bringing this prestigious event to Greece,” he said.

More than 300 guests are expected to attend the 25th World Travel Awards, representing the elite of the European hospitality industry.

“I can’t wait to welcome Europe’s travel and tourism elite to majestic Athens on June 30 for what will be one of the biggest nights in our 25-year history. The Zappeion Megaron Hall will provide the ideal backdrop to the Europe Gala Ceremony 2018,” Cooke said.

The Zappeion Megaron Hall is located Located in the National Gardens of Athens.

Partner to the 25th World Travel Awards is the City of Athens, while the event will be held under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Ministry and the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).

This is the second time that Greece will welcome the World Travel Awards (WTA).
