Lesvos Promoted to German Market Through Joint Campaign
Germania Airlines has joined forces with the Molyvos Tourism Association to promote the northern Aegean island of Lesvos to summer holidaymakers from Germany.
The cooperation has launched within the framework of the association’s “Lesvos: After all it’s still the Aegean” campaign and includes a joint campaign with social media posts and advertisements. Also, a website promoting Lesvos on Germania’s portal has also been created.
In addition, the German carrier is planning to connect Lesvos with Dusseldorf and Munich this summer with direct flights. The itineraries are part of Germania’s strategy to expand its service to Geece, which was presented during an event recently organized by the carrier’s General Sales Agent in Greece, Top Kinissis Hellas.
“The partnership with Germania is part of the activities of the association and its partners to promote the island’s competitive advantages and is taking place under the umbrella of the brand campaign ‘Lesvos: The Other Aegean’,” the association said in an announcement.
The brand campaign was launched in 2012 to promote Lesvos as a tourism destination and was designed by the ACT – American College of Thessaloniki within the framework of its MBA program.
ACT also designed the latest campaign, “Lesvos: After all it’s still the Aegean”.
In related news, the Molyvos Tourism Association and its “Lesvos Food Fest” initiative recently participated in the Fête du Pain, a yearly bread festival taking place in Paris. The association presented the local products and recipes of Lesvos.
