Santorini Promoted as Gay Honeymoon Destination
Greek company Travel by Interest and Gay Star News, a British website focusing on news that concerns the LGBT community, recently ran the “Gay Honeymoon Santorini” campaign, aiming to promote the Cycladic island as a top honeymoon destination for gay travelers.
As part of the campaign, Santorini was featured by Gay Star News for its romantic locations and gay-friendly hotels. Gay Star News is said to count more than 1 million monthly visitors.
In the feature article titled, “Gay Santorini: The must-know tips about the most romantic LGBTI honeymoon destination in Greece”, the editors of Gay Star News and Travel by Interest’s hotel experts presented the exceptional experiences a gay couple can have while on Santorini, as well as three LGBTI-friendly Santorini hotels.
The suggested romantic activities for two include dining on the Santorini caldera; watching the sunset and visiting the island’s moon-like beaches.
Furthermore, the article offers information to gay families, along with options for a special honeymoon with the whole family.
To further promote the campaign, Travel by Interest has published an article on its blog with even more suggestions on unique hospitality units located on the caldera and other parts of the island. The travel website facilitates readers in search for room availability and rates, by redirecting them through its article to the websites of the hotels.
Travel by Interest offers information for food lovers, gay couples, luxury enthusiasts and wellness fans and also offers personalized concierge tips.
