Virtuoso: Affluent Travelers will Choose Greece in Summer 2018

Emerging from its financial upheaval, Greece is this summer’s fastest-growing destination due to pent-up demand, attracting affluent holidaymakers, according to global luxury travel network Virtuoso.

“Greece’s combination of ancient attractions and stunning scenery beckons travelers to return this year,” Virtuoso said in a recent announcement.

A leading trend forecaster, Virtuoso has analyzed its data warehouse of 40.7 billion dollars in transactions to reveal the top destinations for upscale travelers in summer 2018, as well as the fastest-growing places of interest.

Greece is in the first place of Virtuoso’s “Hot 10” list, which includes the countries that have seen the largest percentage of growth in year-over-year bookings.

Greece among Top 10 summer destinations for 2018

Greece also ranks sixth on Virtuoso’s Top 10 list that includes the most popular destinations for summer vacations based on future bookings. The United Kingdom is in first place.
