No Ferry Service in Greece on May 1 Due to 24-hour Strike

The Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) has announced that on Tuesday, May 1, it will participate in industrial action called by the General Confederation of Greek Labor (GSEE) and hold a 24-hour strike to mark May Day.

The strike will run from 00:01 to 24:00.

According to an announcement, PNO is protesting unemployment, pension cuts and is calling for new collective labor contracts with salary increases.

Travelers that have booked ferry tickets are advised to check with their travel agents or contact local port authorities for further information.

No other announcements have been made at the moment that involve other means of transport.
