Chania’s ‘Aria Concept Store’ Hosts First Group Exhibition
The Aria Concept Store of the Aria Hotels group will present its first group exhibition on April 28, aiming to attract art lovers and visitors to the old port of Chania on the island of Crete.
Titled ‘The Harbor” and curated by art historian Maria Migadi, the exhibition will include 30 paintings created by nine Greek artists.
“We hope that the multi-sided, clear work of the artists will speak to the soul of every visitor and will initiate inspiring and interesting dialogues regarding a different aspect of our country,” Migadi said.
The artists participating include Zetta Antsakli, Yiannis Asimakopoulos, Stathis Vatanidis, Tania Dimitrakopoulou, Stavros Diakoumis, Gefso Papadaki, Sofia Petropoulou, Eleni Politopoulou and Pavlos Samios.
Founded in 2017 by boutique hotel and villas company Aria Hotels, the Aria Concept Store is a unique art gallery of high-aesthetics, operating all year round with the aim to showcase the work of contemporary artists from Greece and abroad, who are inspired by Greek tradition.
“The artworks to be presented in the hospitable space of the Aria Concept Store complement each other, combining a harmonious, dynamic result,” an announcement said.
Focusing on Crete’s special features, the Aria Concept Store is currently collaborating with the Benaki Art Shop, the Al Hammam Thermal Baths in Chania and the Martix Fine Art Advisory Business.
“The Aria Concept Store continues the human-centered vision of Aria Hotels for sustainable development that respects and promotes culture,” the announcement said.
The exhibition will run until May 20.
