Aqua Vista Hotels Supports Hospitality Initiative to Reinforce Greek Tourism
Hotel management group Aqua Vista Hotels was the exclusive Hospitality Sponsor of “The Hotel Design Workshop” event, held recently by the organizers of the 100% Hotel Show on the Cycladic island of Santorini.
Aiming to further develop Greek tourism and offer industry professionals invaluable information and training, the event was addressed to Greek hoteliers and included seminars by expert speakers who focused on the significance of creating a unique hotel concept that promotes the destination itself as part of the overall guest experience.
“The development of tourism and promoting Greece as a world class destination coincides exactly with the objectives of Aqua Vista Hotels,” Sophia Matzourani, Business Development Manager of Aqua Vista Hotels, said while commenting on the workshop.
A panel of industry professionals took part in the workshop to share their know-how and outline the four basic categories of the successful development of a hotel. The first session introduced the importance of having a clear idea of the hotel concept, while the second highlighted the design approach. Thirdly, attention was given to the gastronomy experience offered by a hotel and to the relevance of the concept in terms of sales.
“The creation of units with their own unique identity for an unforgettable experience is the basis of our philosophy. In that context, we naturally fully support initiatives such as this workshop,” Matzourani added.
“The Hotel Design Workshop” event attracted a number of hoteliers and tourism specialists who also received suggestions from the speakers on ways of enhancing the local aspects of the destination, whether in regards to the typical Cycladic architecture or the gastronomy.
Aqua Vista Hotels was founded in 2005 and today manages a portfolio of more than 30 hotels in Greece, on the islands of Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Lesvos and Skiathos.
