The Sofitel Athens Airport, located next to the Athens International Airport (AIA), was once again honored with a Guest Review Award by online booking platform Booking.com for the high-quality hospitality services it offered in 2017.
The Guest Review Awards honor excellence in hospitality and are given to accommodation facilities with an average score of 8.0 or above, based on five or more online reviews.
The Sofitel Athens Airport hotel reached an overall score of 8.7.
“For yet another year, the guests of Sofitel Athens Airport clearly recognize us as their favorite hotel. Our passion, devotion and hard work have led to this significant distinction,” the hotel’s general manager Giorgos Stavrou said.
This year 549,937 properties in 218 countries and territories were given an award for their services in 2017. According to Booking.com, Greece was among the top countries that received the most awards.

The Guest Review Awards 2017 were presented based on a total of 140 million reviews globally, and took into consideration the establishments’ consistency, the quality of the services and the travel experiences offered.
