Ash Monday Celebrations at Westin Resort Costa Navarino
The Westin Resort Costa Navarino in Messinia in the Peloponnese will celebrate the Ash Monday long weekend on February 17-19 with a number of events and creative activities for both children and adults.
The resort’s program combines fun, relaxation and rejuvenation treatments for adults and games, education and exploration activities for young guests.
According to Costa Navarino, the “young explorers” will have the opportunity to get familiar with the customs of Messinian tradition through a number of events:
On Saturday, February 17, young guests will be able to create their own colorful kites and bake lagana bread (traditionally baked on Ash Monday in Greece) at Costa Navarino’s special workshops.
On Sunday, February 18, children can explore the Messinian nature through an organized treasure hunt and a number of educational programs, which will take place at the Navarino Natura Hall.
On Ash Monday, February 19, Costa Navarino’s young guests can fly their kites on the resort’s sandy beach with their family and friends.
Other activities scheduled to take place during the Ash Monday long weekend include Tae Kwon Do lessons; film screenings at the Navarino Dunes theater; golf lessons for all at the Navarino Golf Academy; signature treatments at the Anazoe Spa; bicycle excursions and hiking for nature lovers.
