Aegean Airlines: Distribution Channel Fee Will Not Be Imposed
Greek carrier Aegean Airlines has announced that it will not impose a Distribution Channel Fee (DCF) on tickets booked through certain global distribution systems (GDS).
The company in December had announced its decision to apply a five-euro charge as of January 10, for each fare component for bookings made through the two global distribution systems (GDSs), Amadeus and Travelport (Apollo, Galileo and Worldspan). The DCF fee would also apply to all categories of fares and cabins.
In a new announcement on Tuesday, the carrier informed its partner travel agents of its decision not proceed with the implementation of the new fee.
