Registrations for 2nd Messinia Pro-Am Continue Until January 19

Registrations for the 2nd Messinia Pro-Am international golf tournament, to take place at Costa Navarino in Messinia, will continue until January 19, 2018.

The 2nd Messinia Pro-Am, organized by Costa Navarino in cooperation with the PGAs of Europe, will take place February 21 – 24, 2018.

The tournament will be held under the auspices of PGA of Greece, the Hellenic Golf Federation and the Hellenic Olympic Academy.

Professionals and amateur golfers from the Americas, Europe and Africa have already formed teams, while the interest remains high for the completion of the total of 50 teams that will participate. Registrations continue through the event’s official website.

According to the organizers, the competition at the 2nd Messinia Pro-Am is expected to be even higher than the previous tournament.

During the three competitive rounds that will take place at the two 18-hole signature golf courses at Costa Navarino — The Dunes Course and The Bay Course — golfers will claim the second biggest prize fund in Europe. The total amount to be distributed during Messinia Pro-Am is 50,000 euros.

The tournament will also award the top 5 best-performing teams, the 3 best professional golfers, while a hole-in-one award will also be given this year.

It should be noted that the Messinia Pro-Am tournament attracted global interest during the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) that was recently held in Cannes.

Every year new elements are added to the tournament. For the first time this year, golfers will be able to get real-time updates on team and individual scores, even on their golf buggies, with the Messinia Pro-Am new live score service.

Star Alliance member Aegean Airlines is the official airline partner of the tournament and Kyvernitis Travel is the official travel partner. The tournament’s official sponsors are Vodafone and MyTransfer.

Moreover, for the first time the tournament is supported by the innovative services of the sports science partner Fysiotek.
