German-Hellenic Chamber Sets Goals for 2018

Aiming to get the word out about Greece’s diverse investment opportunities, the German-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce has among others planned three business missions to Latin America, Asia and the Arab Gulf in the coming year.

Focusing on the country’s winning sectors: tourism, energy, food & beverages, services and ICT – technology, the chamber through its global network of offices and partners/members in 90 countries will serve as a go-between in order to familiarize investors with options in Greece and attract interest.

In this direction, the chamber has announced the launch in the first months of the new year of a private learning center specializing in tourism, offering training as well as specializations. The school, set to operate at a Glyfada hotel, will start off with an estimated 70 students in the first year.

According to chamber’s general manager, Athansios Kelemis, TUI Group , Aldemar Resorts and the Daskalantonakis Group have expressed interest in supporting the project.

Other chamber plans for 2018 include a roadshow in two German cities in collaboration with the Hellenic Banks Association; supporting companies for participation in international exhibitions held in Germany or other countries organized by German exhibitors; the promotion of targeted business meetings; the implementation of educational programs and the establishment of working groups for member companies in key business areas.
