Astypalea’s Kallichoron Hotel Supports Children Through CSR Policy
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) for the Kallichoron Art Boutique Hotel on the Dodecanese island of Astypalea is about encouraging, supporting and strengthening younger generations.
With its ongoing “Room2Give” initiative as a springboard, Kallichoron Art Boutique Hotel participated as a sponsor in this year’s children’s book reading competition “Vivliodromies”.
The man behind the annual contest, Eleftherios Geitonas, head of Geitonas School, thanked Kallichoron cofounder and GM Maria Mavroudi for “investing in her homeland and in the new generation”.
Mavroudi attended the 20th Vivilidromies awards ceremony at the Eugenides Foundation recently where she congratulated all participants and organizers.
“I am proud of this bridge of culture and knowledge. We are doubly proud that, with the help of the Room2Give program and the unwavering support of the Geitonas School, students from Astypalea will be able to participate in the Vivilodromies completion in 2018,” Mavroudi said.
Kallichoron’s “Room2Give” CSR program supports initiatives focusing on children and young people including equipping the Astypalea kindergarten with recreational facilities; the purchase of books for the Astypalaia kindergarten lending library; the establishment of an event hall at the Astypalea high school currently underway – those wishing to support this effort can contact the hotel – ensuring the participation of Astypalea pupils in next year’s “Vivliodromies”.
Located in a very close distance to Astypalea’s main town, Kallichoron Art Boutique Hotel aims to offer its guests a relaxing and stylish getaway on the island.
The hotel’s priveleged location offers a breathtaking view of the island’s landscape, including the majestic Venetian castle, the famous old white windmills and the boundless Aegean Sea.
A highlight of Kallichoron is its “Grandma’s Breakfast” menu, which offers guests a customised breakfast tray with selections of their choice.
