Hospitality Professionals Applaud Butterfly Stories’ Presentation on Boosting Hotel Restaurant Revenue
By Nikos Krinis
A packed room of hospitality professionals heard and enthusiastically applauded Butterfly Stories‘ presentation during the 100% Hotel Show that took place recently in Athens. Butterfly Stories is the first food management and hospitality consultants with key partners in Heraklion (Crete), Athens and Santorini and holds strategic cooperations with hotels.
The company’s CEO, Elizabeth Kouta, participated in the trade show’s Upselling Hotel Workshop “Boost your hotel service sales (Restaurants, Spa, events)” and provided valuable insight and tips through a very informative presentation titled “Marketing tools and Promotion of Hotel Restaurants”.
“Hotel restaurants are a powerful source of revenue that can contribute to the total turnover of the enterprise if it is handled with autonomy, differentiation and innovation,” Kouta told GTP Headlines.
Kouta underlined that through a successful promotional strategy hotel restaurants can gain their own identity, which is essential in revenue growth. “Restaurants with an identity will increase revenue, reinforce their reputation, increase clientele, contribute to the total sales growth of the hotels and attract repeat visitors,” she said.
During her presentation, Kouta informed her audience that it is necessary for hospitality professionals to have an overall strategic plan “that has a special focus on digital expansion to boost and attract the right clientele”.
Going digital
More into her presentation, Kouta provided useful tips to hospitality professionals and touched on issues such as ways to launch an effective strategy for hotel restaurants that includes a promotional plan to reach the final consumer through social media channels.
“When going digital to promote a restaurant, hoteliers must have a budget set aside to use for social media campaigns,” Kouta said during her presentation, adding that a social media campaign is not limited to simply posting a professionally-taken photograph on Facebook. “Such actions need a small budget in order to ‘boost’ posts to reach the right target group, age range and locations,” she explained.
She then analyzed the promotional tools on Facebook, Instagram and Tripadvisor.
“When you go digital, you tell your story by targeting a specific audience and this way grow a network,” Kouta said.
The 100% Hotel Show, a Greek exhibition addressed especially to hoteliers, took place for the fifth year at the Mediterranean Exhibition Center (MEC).
