Zela Aviation, MIAT Mongolian Airlines Explore Ways to Expand GSA Partnership
New ideas for further developing their GSA partnership were recently discussed between Zela Aviation founder Andreas Christodoulides and MIAT Mongolian Airlines CEO Tamir Tumurbaatar in a meeting in Cyprus.
The Cypriot company has been the general sales agent (GSA) of MIAT Mongolian Airlines since 2015. “We’re proud to have partnered with MIAT… and to have proved we were the right choice. Our global presence means we’ve been able to support MIAT with long term ACMI contracts,” said Andreas Christodoulides. “Further significant deals are planned in the near future and we are working hard to achieve even more in the years ahead,” he added.
According to an announcement, both sides see great potential in the leasing sector in terms of increased revenues and profits.
MIAT’s goal over the next few years is to grow and expand. The national flag carrier of Mongolia aims to continue connecting the country with the rest of the world by adding more destinations to its schedule, also through code-share agreements with other carriers. Furthermore, the company aims to become a major ACMI and capacity provider.
“The commitment of Andreas Christodoulides and of the Zela Team is the reason this partnership has been so successful,” Tumurbaatar said during the meeting. “They have done an incredible job, enhancing the presence of MIAT to new markets,” he added.
While in Cyrpus, Tumurbaatar also had the opportunity to experience the local culture and hospitality.
