Amadeus Honored for Innovative Travel Products and Services

Amadeus has received an honorary distinction for its contribution in research and the development of innovative products and services for the travel industry.

The travel technology provider was awarded the “Digi.travel EMEA Distinction 2017” at the 5th Digi.Travel EMEA Conference & Expo 2017, which took place recently in Athens and was attended by representatives of leading companies and organizations of the Greek travel market. Amadeus participated as the event’s platinum sponsor.

“Amadeus supported Digi.Τravel ΕΜΕΑ Conference & Expo 2017 for yet another year and we are especially happy for this, as it is a congress that stands out in the digital travel community,” said Eva Karamanou, general manager of Amadeus Hellas and deputy regional manager southern Europe, who received the distinction on behalf of Amadeus.

“We are most honored for the distinction, which we received for Amadeus research and development department’s efforts to change the rules in the travel and tourism market, through the creation of unique products and services”, she added.

In 2016 Amadeus was ranked as the Leading R&D investor in the travel and tourism industry by the 2016 EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard.

During the conference, Amadeus’ “Media Solutions” was presented by Fernando Ramiro, global head of sales and product development of Amadeus Media Solutions.

The travel advertising solution brings together travel buyers and sellers on a global scale via the Amadeus extended network.

According to Amadeus, the solution delivers airline, hotel, destination and traveler relevant advertising to the right people at the right time, resulting in higher returns than many other networks.
