Xenia 2017 Hospitality Expo Expects Over 200 Int’l Hosted Buyers

Focusing on the international outreach of the Xenia hospitality trade show in Athens, the organizing company Forum expects the attendance of over 200 hosted buyers from countries targeted by the Greek tourism industry.

Xenia 2017 will run November 25-27 at the Metropolitan Expo exhibition center in Athens.

Executives from the tourism industry, including hotel general managers, F&B managers, commercial managers, hotel owners, will join the trade show’s Hosted Buyer Program and attend a number of personal meetings with the exhibitors of Xenia 2017.

The international buyers included in Xenia’s Hosted Buyer Program have been selected following strict criteria and will come from Cyprus, Israel, Turkey, Egypt, Albania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania and other countries in the Balkans.

According to Forum, the interest of hosted buyers from Israel to participate in Xenia 2017 was so great that a special delegation is planned to attend the exhibition. The Israeli delegation, supported by the Commercial Company of the Israel Hotel Association, will comprise of more than 15 top ranking executives from the 10 largest hotel chains in the country.

Maximum outreach through social media

Organizer Forum said it is following a targeted advertising campaign, which amounts to 450,000 euros. “Xenia 2017 has already managed to attract the interest of major buyers from more than 10 countries from the region of the Mediterranean and the Balkans,” the company said in an announcement.

Through the use of digital media (Google ads, Facebook, LinkedIn) Forum expects to draw more than 5,000 managers and executives of the wider tourism sector from select countries to the trade show.
