Mideast Wins at World Travel Awards for Fourth Year Running

Mideast Travel was honored as “Greece’s Leading Destination Management Company” for the fourth year running at the 24th World Travel Awards, in a ceremony recently held in St Petersburg, Russia.

Mideast was distinguished for its long history and expertise in incoming tourism to Greece, the company said in an announcement adding that “passion for challenge” is the secret of its success.

“Being awarded for the fourth year in a row at the World Travel Awards brings out the same emotions of joy and pride as in our very first award, also with a commitment to pursue higher goals,” said Katerina Mousbeh, Mideast’s managing director.

“As always, we dedicate this award to the people who have trusted us all these years and of course to our big Mideast family… Our team holds the baton for the next long-distance relay race as the aim stays the same: To break the previous record,” she added.

Also referred to as the “Oscars of the tourism industry”, the World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Today, the World Travel Awards brand is recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence.

The World Travel Awards gala ceremonies are regarded as milestone events in the industry calendar and attended by key decision makers and journalists from all over the world.
