Since its foundation, Amadeus has been working towards a more connected travel industry. The company’s story started in Spain in 1987, when Air France, Iberia, Lufthansa and SAS decided to create a new global distribution system. Within just 7 years over 100.000 travel agencies and airlines were connected to Amadeus system, marking the company’s success and evolution. Since then, Amadeus is connecting all sectors of the global travel industry with state-of-the-art technology and more investments in R&D than any other company in Europe.
“Travel agencies need to have the dynamic, the content and the tools that will allow them to play a crucial role in shaping travel in the future,” Karamanou said.
“Amadeus Hellas will continue to grow in a steady pace and with clear strategy, offering the best services to its clients, launching the best technology solutions and offering innovative consulting services,” she added.
