Chef Matsuhisa Holds ‘Nobu Food Festival’ on Mykonos
The visitors of the Matsuhisa Mykonos restaurant, located at the Belvedere Mykonos hotel, recently had the opportunity to taste special delicacies prepared especially for the occasion by acclaimed chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
Within the framework of the Nobu Food Festival, the award-winning chef on July 20 and 21 visited the island of Myconos and prepared his “Omakase” menu for a limited number of guests of the Matsuhisa Mykonos. The dishes were accompanied by Dom Perignon vintages of 2009, 2006, 2005 and 2003.
The guests enjoyed their dinner around the pool of the Belvedere Mykonos, which offers a unique view to the town of Mykonos and the Aegean sea.
Born and raised in Saitama, Japan, Nobu Masuhisa has introduced the concept of a “New Style Japanese cuisine”, which is incorporating elements of international cuisines. His “Nobu” and “Matsuhisa” restaurants are spread across five continents.
The Matsuhisa Mykonos opened its doors on 2003 and featured the “Omakase” menu, which is inspired by the Japanese local tradition and prepared with carefully-selected local ingredients.
A member of the Leading Hotels of World, the five-star Belvedere hotel is located in the heart of Mykonos. Built in a traditional mansion dating back to 1850, the Belvedere rooms and suites include superior amenities to ensure a luxury accommodation.
