Hellenic Film Commission Launches Campaign to Promote Greece as a ‘Film-friendly’ Location
“Can your photo become the reason to shoot a film in Greece?”
The Hellenic Film Commission of the Greek Film Center has launched a campaign that aims to promote Greece as a “film-friendly” location and attract international audiovisual productions to film in the country.
The campaign “Locate Your Photo” invites professional and amateur photographers to contribute to the creation of an online photo gallery that aims to capture and promote the various locations of Greece.
A web platform is currently available at www.locateyourphoto.gr, where photo lovers and professionals of the film industry — including cinematographers and location managers — can upload their photos.
“From the classical Athens to its mainland and islands, the whole of Greece can be the ideal natural backdrop for all types of audiovisual production,” the Hellenic Film Commission said in an announcement. The Commission is seeking photos showcasing Greece’s locations and not including faces or logos.
The Hellenic Film Commission was established by the Greek Film Center to provide information and support to foreign companies that wish to film either part or a whole movie or other kids of audiovisual productions in Greece.
