Shipping Ministry Launches Public Consultation to Improve Greek Ports
The Shipping Ministry, in cooperation with the Interior Ministry, on Thursday launched a public debate to establish new growth dynamics in Greek ports.
According to an announcement, the decision was taken in the context of the new challenges Greece is facing and that concern the reform of the administrative structures that are crucial for development, such as the country’s ports.
The views expressed and information gathered will help the ministry correct chronic dysfunctions that Greek ports are facing.
Greek Shipping Minister Panagiotis Kouroumblis has sent an invitation to all management bodies involved, secondary port associations, municipalities, regions, trade unions, chambers and managers, providers and users of port services to participate in the public consultation by answering a questionnaire.
They are also invited to submit their views on the Open Government website.
The consultation will run until July 7.
If interested parties encounter technical problems, they can send their views via e-mail to dlpb@yna.gov.gr
