Greece’s Lampsa Teams Up with AccorHotels for Mercure Belgrade Excelsior

Athens-based hotels group Lampsa SA is teaming up with Orbis Hotel Group – AccorHotels for the opening in Serbia, of Mercure Belgrade Excelsior in September, the company announced this week.

Located in the heart of the city, the historic Mercure Belgrade Excelsior will be run by Orbis Hotel Group under the contract with the owner and investment company Lamps SA. The renovated 73-room hotel, complete with restaurant and conference hall, will as of September offer the quality and top-notch service of AccorHotels.

“We are delighted to announce the presence of the Mercure brand in the city of Belgrade, through our new cooperation with AccorHotels. The aim of this cooperation is to strengthen Belgrade’s presence on the world tourist map and for Excelsior Hotel to become a member of a strong and respected hotel chain worldwide,” Chloe Laskaridis, director of corporate growth and executive director at Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA, told a press conference at the French Embassy in Belgium.

Lampsa SA – a Laskaridis Group company – has been listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1946 and is active in the hospitality sector owning among others the Grande Bretagne in Athens,  the Sheraton Rhodes Resort and the Hyatt Regency in Belgrade.
