4th Mediterranean Yacht Show Hosts 300+ Visitors from 20 Countries

With the participation of more than 300 tourism executives from 20 countries, the city of Nafplio in the Peloponnese recently hosted the 4th Mediterranean Yacht Show.

Organized by the Greek Yachting Association (GYA), the show featured 96 impressive yachts and several events, including seminars and competitions, aiming to highlight the region’s sea tourism advantages.

Tourism professionals and executives from Australia, France, Germany, Austria, the U.S. Spain, Israel, Canada, the UK and Russia – among other countries – visited the exhibition’s stands, which were dedicated to sea tourism and featured yachting services and supplies.

Parallel events taking place at landmark locations in Nafplio offered excellent networking opportunities and paved the way for future business collaborations.

The opening ceremony was held at the Palamidi Fortress in the presence of Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura, Regional Governor of the Peloponnese Petros Tatoulis, Mayor of Nafplio Dimitris Kostouros and the President of the Greek Yachting Association, Michael Skoulikidis.

4th Mediterranean Yacht Show

MYBA, the Worldwide Yachting Association held a seminar under the theme, “MYBA and the Eastern Mediterranean”, with president Fiona Maureso, MYBA member Annemarie Gathercole and members of GYA.

The 4th Mediterranean Yacht Show concluded with a party at the popular Karathonas beach, were the winners of the Chef’s Competition were announced. The gastronomy event once more awarded young talented chefs.

The show took place under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and with the support of the Municipality of Nafplion and the Region of the Peloponnese.
