Panhellenic Lifeguard School Holds First Aid Seminar at Greek Travel Show
Useful information on lifeguarding guidelines and principles were presented by the Panhellenic Lifeguard School (also known as PASHNA) during its first aid seminar held on the sidelines of the 1st Greek Travel Show in Athens.
During the exhibition, Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura and Maroussi Mayor Giorgos Patoulis visited the school’s stand and congratulated its members on their voluntary activities.
The Panhellenic Lifeguard School was founded in 1995. Its mission is to prevent and reduce the drowning and near-drowning rates in Greece, through comprehensive lifeguard training, the delivery of lifeguard services to coastal areas and pool facilities, as well as the provision of lifesaving and rescue equipment.
Organized by Greece’s national exhibition body TIF-Helexpo, the Greek Travel Show was held on May 19-21 at the Helexpo-Marousi Exhibition and Conference Center in Athens and aimed at providing Greek travelers with information on the available summer tourism packages and offers.
