Aqua Vista Hotels Receives Five Accolades at the Tourism Awards 2017

Aqua Vista Hotels’ assistant director of sales, Alexander Dardoufas; director of sales, Yiorgos Tsolakakis; business development manager, Sophia Matzouranis; and the architect and owner of the Kassandra Bay, Leonidas Bays, receiving the Gold Award in the “eco-friendly Hotel/Resort” category for the environmental policy and sustainability system implemented by the hotel from Ioannis Dimopoulos, managing director of ekdromi.gr.

Greek hotel unit management group Aqua Vista Hotels was honored with five prestigious awards at the Tourism Awards 2017 ceremony held recently at the Athenaeum InterContinental hotel in Athens.

In its fourth year, the Tourism Awards rewarded the best practices of Greek companies and organizations in all sectors of travel, hospitality and leisure and applauded initiatives that encourage innovation and the quality of Greek tourism.

A first-timer to the event, Aqua Vista Hotels, a company that oversees the concept, construction and overall running of its member-properties, was commended in five of the most significant Tourism Awards categories.

Honors for four hotels and one for the team!

Four hotels from the company’s portfolio clinched awards: the Kassandra Bay Hotel on Skiathos received the Gold award in the ‘Eco-friendly Hotel/Resort’ category, for its environmental policies and its sustainability system; Cloud 9 on Santorini was honoured with the Silver award in the ‘Luxury Villas, Chalets’ category, for its luxurious style; the Art Hotel on Santorini received the Silver award in the Adults Only Hotel/Resort category; and Alta Vista Suites on Santorini, received an award in the ‘Wedding Tourism’ category, for its unique romantic character.

Aqua Vista Hotels’ fifth tourism award was received by its very own team that walked off the stage with the Bronze award in the ‘Hotel Development, Management & Consulting’ category, which recognises the successful model of hospitality concepts developed and applied by the group.
