Greece’s Tourism Minister Kountoura Meets Spain’s King Felipe VI

Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura met with King Felipe VI of Spain on the sidelines of the 37th International Tourism Trade Fair FITUR that opened on Wednesday at the Feria de Madrid. FITUR 2017 will run until Sunday.

Attending a special event of Spain’s royal family at El Pardo Palace, held in honor of the ministers and officials representing countries at the FITUR trade fair, Minister Kountoura had a brief meeting with King Felipe VI, during which she spoke about Greece and Greek tourism.

The tourism minister is representing Greece at FITUR 2017 and promoting the country to the Spanish market through the stand of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).

At the Greek stand, the minister will hold meetings with representatives of the Spanish and international travel industry, as well as with travel agencies that specialize in selling travel packages for Greece.

Minister Kountoura will also give interviews to the Spanish media to promote Greece as an attractive global tourist destination.
