EFEA 2017: Events Industry Professionals Get Ready to do Business in St. Petersburg

Russian and international events industry professionals are getting ready to attend the Europe+Asia Event Forum (EFEA) 2017 in the PetroCongress Congress Centre in St. Petersburg during January 18-20.

EFEA 2017 is an annual meeting of organisers of exhibitions, forums and conferences, specialists in business and incentive tourism and specialized contractor organisations. The event offers professionals the opportunity to get up-to-date marketing information for the events industry, network with other professionals, extend their branch-wise business contacts and present their own projects.

 The anniversary Forum in 2016 was attended by 447 delegates and 141 speakers from 8 countries and 18 regions of Russia. Representatives of the leading industry companies and associations such as Messe Frankfurt GmbH, ITE Group, UBM, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, Expocentre, Expoforum, UFI, RUEF and ICCA, took part in the EFEA 2016 event.

EFEA 2017 topic: ‘Event industry 4.0 reloaded’

The key topic of the EFEA 2017 business programme will be “Event industry 4.0 reloaded”.

“This choice is assigned by the new reality – the world around changes extremely fast”, the organizer R&C market Research Company said.

“IT innovations become a driver of development in all the human activities. We are on edge of the ‘generation 4.0’ era when one takes the leading positions only if uses the new technologies efficiently. At the EFEA 2017 the participants will try to define what these conditions mean for the events industry and what future awaits it.”

The discussion will take the form of round tables, meetings, master-classes, thematic sessions dedicated to exhibition industry, meetings industry, venue management, education and HR.

Participants will be able to hold individual appointments and establish direct contacts to strengthen business relations with events industry professionals.

During EFEA 2017, delegates will be able to hold target business meetings on site through the “Jobs Fair” and the “Matchmaking Centre” B2B events.

Moreover, an international contest for young events industry professionals — Event TALENTS — will be held as well as the EFEA Awards 2017.

In tandem with these activities, the PetroCongress Congress Centre will also host an exhibition of technologies and suppliers of equipment and services Event EXPO (January 18-20) and II Forum Event LIVE for events industry professionals and their customers (January 19-20). The Forum offers practical solutions and cases for organisers, individual meetings with customers and suppliers.
