T+L: Lefkada’s Egremni Beach is Among the 13 Places with the Bluest Water in the World
Renowned US magazine Travel & Leisure (T + L) has included the repeatedly honored Egremni beach, located on the island of Lefkada, on a list of 13 places with the bluest waters in the world. The places mentioned by T + L in the article include lakes, seas, beaches and bays.
According to T + L, it is hard to find a spot on Lefkada Island that does not have spectacular views of the crystal clear Ionian Sea, but Egremni beach on the west coast is “particularly stunning”.
Moreover, it is noted that despite that the beach requires a steep hike, “the white sand stands in stark contrast to the turquoise water making it ideal for spending the day relaxing in the sun.”
The 13 places with some of the bluest waters in the world, as mentioned by T + L, are:
Egremni, Lefkada
Crater Lake, Oregon, USA
Con Son, Vietnam
Devil’s Bay, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
Ambergris Caye, Belize
Five-Flower Lake, Jiuzhaigou National Park, China
