Jet2.com Announces More Summer Flights to Greece from Leeds Bradford

British budget airline Jet2.com recently announced more flights to Zakynthos (Zante), Crete and Rhodes from Leeds Bradford Airport this summer, in response to soaring demand for flights and package holidays to Greece.

According to an announcement, the carrier will operate up to 14 flights every week to Greece this summer — representing its biggest programme to the country from the airport — with additional weekly flights operating to the to three popular Greek destinations from July through to September.

More specifically, Jet2.com will add a weekly flight every Thursday (now three flights every week) to Zante, a weekly flight every Friday (now four flights every week) to Crete (Heraklion) and a weekly Saturday flight (now three flights every week) to Rhodes.

“This summer is going to be our biggest ever out of Leeds Bradford, with destinations such as Greece driving that. The popularity of Greece shows no sign of slowing down, which is why we are cementing our position as Yorkshire’s leading operator to Greece by putting on even more flights”, Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said.

With the addition of the new flights, Jet2.com now flies to seven Greek destinations from Leeds Bradford: Zante, Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Kos, Kefalonia and Halkidiki.

On his part, Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airport’s Aviation Development Director, welcomed the growth of capacity to Greece with Jet2.com for Summer 2017.

“With strong demand for package holidays this summer, families will now have an even wider choice from LBA flying to Zante, Crete and Rhodes”, Hallwood said.
