Spyrou Philoxenia Enters the Peloponnese, Adds ‘Kalteziotis Mansion’ to Portfolio

Spyrou Philoxenia recently announced that the Kalteziotis Mansion, located in Kapsia, Arcadia, in Greece, has joined its portfolio of affiliate hotel members. The property joins Spyrou Philoxenia after the recent entries of Chania Palace and Chania Hotel in Pelion, Magnesia.

“The Peloponnese is truly an emerging destination within Greece with a significant amount of interest from domestic and international markets”, said Spyrou Philoxenia’s project manager, Dimitrios Schistohilis. “We are very happy to enter this destination with the Kalteziotis Mansion as an affiliate member hotel.”

Being featured as a top destination in Europe by Lonely Planet in May 2016, the Peloponnese continues its growing popularity, rekindled in 2013 following the international success of the Academy Award nominated film Before Midnight staring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.

The Kalteziotis Mansion has been in the Kalteziotis family since 1860. Today, the building has been fully renovated preserving all of its traditional character, blending smoothly the hints of classic luxury and modern comfort of the highest standards. The hotel lives up to its motto of discreet luxury, coziness, and hospitality having hosted its share of prominent political figures and celebrities.

“The Kalteziotis Mansion has become a landmark hotel in the region, offering only the highest level of services and amenities and embodying the tradition and history of such a beautiful destination”, said the general director of Spyrou Hotels and Spyrou Phloxenia, George Michalis. “We are honored to provide our services to a property of this caliber.”

The property consists of the traditional guestroom of 1860 with 4 suites, the boutique hotel with 20 double rooms, 4 studios with fireplaces, 3 three-bedroom rooms, and a luxurious VIP suite, the chalet with 12 superior mountain-view rooms and 3 villas. The mansion also houses a private restaurant featuring delicacies from all over the world, two bars, a health club and an outdoor swimming pool. The Kalteziotis Mansion can also host company events as it features a conference hall for 200 people and meeting room for 50 people. Both facilities are well-appointed with the latest audiovisual equipment in addition to arrangements for secretarial services.

Overlooking the spruce covered Mainalo mountain range, the hotel is located just 10 km from Tripoli and 150 km away from Athens, making it an ideal option for a convenient retreat. Outdoor enthusiasts can thoroughly enjoy the area with plenty of hiking trails, kayaking on Lousios River and skiing at the Mainalon ski center just 15 km away. The property also offers a basketball court and paintball equipment.

Currently operating seven properties on the island of Skopelos in addition to managing reservations and sales for additional properties there, Spyrou Philoxenia is expanding its roster with new partnerships throughout Greece.
