As part of its ongoing tourism campaign and in efforts to stimulate the interest of the UK market, the Attica Region showcased its vast array of offerings at this year’s World Travel Market (WTM), which took place in London earlier this month.
Culture, gastronomy, nightlife, sea, sun and sailing, shopping and fashion, wellness and spa, business trips and MICE options all featured at the Attica Region stand under the umbrella of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO).
Attica Region authorities are confident that 2017 will be an important year as even more visitors will have a chance to get to know the diverse options available.
“We should not only focus on the number of arrivals. Our aim is to increase of revenue efficiency in relation to arrivals. Moreover, our target should be the rational management of destination ‘Attica’ depending on visitors’ and residents’ needs,” said Eleni Dimopoulou, executive regional councillor for tourism promotion. Dimopoulou also referred to the region’s digital campaigns and networks as well as tourism campaign funding.
“There is a lot to be amended in order to make our tourism product more attractive. We need to promptly implement the Attica Region campaign in order to take advantage of the enormous impetus of the tourism market,” Dimopoulou added.
