PNO: No Ferries in Greece on November 24 Due to Strike

strike_ferriesGreece’s passenger ferry service is expected to be disrupted on Thursday, November 24, as the Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) has announced a 24-hour strike in protest of pensions cuts.

The strike will begin at 00:01 on Thursday and end at 24:00.

Many shipping companies have made changes to their scheduled routes due to the strike. Travellers are advised to contact their travel agents for details.

On the same day, Greece’s public sector union ADEDY have also announced a 24-hour general strike and will hold a protest rally in Athens center. Among other things, the union is protesting against planned reforms to labor laws.
