Hilton Athens Lends a Helping Hand for Global Month of Service
For the Athens Hilton, hospitality is more than just ensuring the best for its guests, it’s about making a positive impact on the community as a whole and setting an example for others to follow. In this direction and as part of its extensive social responsibility program, the Hilton Athens marked its Global Month of Service with hands-on action.
Throughout October, as part of the company’s year-round commitment to serving and enriching communities, more than 30 volunteers from Hilton Athens participated in a wide range of community service activities including offering families food as well as treating youngsters from charity organization “The Smile of the Child” to all-day cooking sessions and much more. Meanwhile, hotel staff visited “The Smile of the Child” premises to share their experience and offer tips.
Launched in 2012, the Hilton Global Month of Service has been the company’s largest annual community service initiative, mobilizing hundreds of team members worldwide to make a difference by volunteering in community projects. Hilton volunteers offer their time and expertise in hospitality to support issues from conserving natural resources and mentoring to collecting surplus food and distributing it to local organizations.
