Central Macedonia is one of Greece’s most visited Regions and an ideal tourist destination all year round. Over the last years, tourism has become the spearhead for the economic development of Central Macedonia, and we have been able to attract new investments that upgrade the infrastructures along with the services offered. Our region acquires unique comparative advantages that allow us to support both mainstream and alternative forms of tourism, such as: Historical, Cultural and Heritage tourism, Leisure, gastronomy, shopping, and nightlife, Nature, Ski and Thermal Springs, Medical and Spa tourism, Rural and Congress tourism.

Central Macedonia, is the land where march together the inseparable legends and history, the sea and the sun, the highest peaks of Greece, and some of the most beautiful shores of the Mediterranean. Central Macedonia, is the place where Alexander the Great was born, raised and taught, the place where Aristotle, one of the greatest philosophers was born, the place where stands the mythical residence of the Twelve Gods, at the highest peak of Greece, the magnificent Mt Olympus. Here, the cultures of West and East have met through the centuries, tied to each other in continuity that remains within the plethora of monuments, which until today are visible and unique. Here crosses the ancient Greece with Rome and Byzantium, here the traditions coexist with the search of new.
