Call for Abstracts: CEST2017 – 15th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology

The organizing and scientific committees of the 15th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (CEST2017) has announced the call for abstracts. The deadline for submission is December 31, 2016.

The conference, the biggest in the field of environment in Greece, has evolved into a leading scientific event of global interest, gathering more than 400 delegates from 60 different countries.

cest_2017_1CEST2017 will be held on the island of Rhodes from August 31 to September 2, 2017, and aim to present innovative technologies and practices that address key environmental issues on a local or global scale. A number of speeches will refer to results of research in the field of environment, while topics will also focus on environmental legislation and proposals that could begin a dialogue to set the foundations of a national policy in areas such as waste management, climate change, sustainable tourism, monitoring of water quality, energy technologies and public health. Conference organizers are seeking contributions on topics in the field of environmental science and technology with papers selected for either oral or poster presentation to undergo a review process. All papers presented in CEST2017, will be submitted to the collaborating journals for inclusion in special issues after the normal peer review of the journals. Also, for the first time in CEST history four presentations from young researchers (2 oral and 2 poster) will be awarded from CEST Scientific Committee. The researchers (postgraduate students and PhD candidates) should indicate their candidacy along with the submission of the abstract.

Distinguished academics and scientists from universities of Greece and from abroad have already confirmed their attendance and will participate as main speakers.

Organized by the Analysis and Simulation of Environmental Systems Research Group – University of the Aegean, the Sanitary Environmental Engineering Division – University of Salerno, and the Imperial College London, the biennial conference brings together engineers, scientists, researchers, students, managers and other professionals.

CEST2017 is supported by the University of Aegean (Greece), University of Salerno (Italy) and the Imperial College London (Great Britain). The main organizer is Global NEST (Global Network of Environmental Science and Technology). CEST2017 is taking place under the auspices of the Municipality of Rhodes.
