Aeromexico to Increase Number of Flights to Vancouver
Aeromexico, Mexico’s global airline, has announced that it will increase the number of flights it offers to Vancouver, starting in December.
The expanded service, which will take place on three of Aeromexico’s Canadian routes, will start on December 1 on the Vancouver and Toronto routes, followed by the Montreal route on December 2.
In Vancouver, the airline will offer 20 flights each week on the route, up from 14 – a weekly seat increase of 85 percent since Aeromexico launched the route in 2015.
Service will continue to be operated with the carrier’s 160 seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with 16 seats in Clase Premier—Aeromexico’s business class cabin, 144 in economy.
The expansion will allow the carrier to offer the Canadian market more than 9,900 seats per week with this 47 per cent increase, the carrier said.
Aeromexico launched daily YVR flights in December 2015 using a 124-seat Boeing 737-700, before upgrading to a 160-seat Boeing 737-800. The most recent changes bring Aeromexico’s total weekly seat offering to 3,200 – an increase of 85 per cent since the inaugural flight.
The new flights are timed to offer Aeromexico’s passengers quick and convenient connections to and from the airline’s Latin and South American flights.
